Strathmore’s handball team tactician Peter Mwathi has praised his side’s approach to the game in terms of defense pointing out that it is one of the best in the Kenya Handball League so far. Strathmore are also in high gear preparations for the East and Central Club Championship slated to start from the 4th of November.

“I can confidently say that our defense is one of the best so far in the league and that is a plus as we prepare for next week’s competition. We have now increased our training time to an extra two hours and given more concentration on physical conditioning since the technical aspect we are okay.” Mwathi said while speaking to michezoafrika.com

The Madaraka based side is currently placed 3rd in the KHF table standings and Mwathi sees the regional championship as worthy avenue for his side to gain experience from, “ There will be very good teams and am sure the team will gain the much needed experience that it needs at such high standards.”

Strathmore play Defending Champions in both the KHF League and also the East and Central Club Championship Cereals in a friendly match on Wednesday afternoon.
