Kenyan International handball player Bryan Oduor has been named the player of the year by his Danish Club Mors Thy Handbol.

Oduor was in sizzling form throughout the season earning himself a spot in the Mors Thy main team after guiding the second team into promotion into the 2nd Division from the 3rd Division.

Oduor is the first African to play in the play offs of the Danish Masters League with the team that was established in 2007 finishing 4th. The performance has earned the team a chance to play in the European Cup next season.

According to the team’s coach Micheal Arendt Oduor had worked hard since being signed and that his dedication to the team saw him achieve the award,” he always gave his all whenever he was playing. Scoring 6 to 8 goals in a match alongside several assists is massive contribution by a single player.”

Oduor on the other hand attributed his success to God and his team stating that they played a major roll, “without God I don’t think I would be here, my team as a whole has been part of the journey and also the fans and I want to thank them all. I can’t forget my family and friends also.”
