New Jogoo Road who were beaten in the finals of the handball match of the KSSSA Term 2 A games by Moi Girls Kamusinga are back in camp in readiness for the East and Central African championships that start from the 23rd of August in Bujumbura, Burundi. The team will depart on the 20th of August.

Speaking to michezoafrika.com Gabriel Kizito the head coach was optimistic that the team will have a great performance, “the fact that we were third last year in the East and Central games means that we are a strong side. Despite losing to Kamusinga in the national finals I have faith in the girls and I know they will perform well.”

In last year’s competition, Shimba Hills were the other representatives from Kenya and they managed to come 2nd in the regional games but were bundled out of the semi-finals in this year’s national games that were played at Hill School Eldoret.

The best two teams from each country qualify for the East Africa games. Silibwet from Rift Valley and Toroso from Western will represent Kenya in the boys category.
