New Jogoo Road and Kamusinga in the KSSSA Handball finals

Nairobi province representatives in the girls’ handball category New Jogoo Road made their way into the finals of the handball competition for a second year running when they beat Maraba 16 -15 to book an automatic slot in the East African games that are scheduled to take place in Bujumbura, Burundi this coming August.

Defending champions Shimba Hills were not so lucky this time round when they fell to Western province representatives Moi Girls’ Kamusinga 14 – 23 in the other semi final.

Coast province fell again in the boys’ category when St. Georges were beaten by Silibwet 15 – 25. The other semi – final match saw Toroso secure a place in the finals for the first time when they beat Itiero 29 – 25.

This means that the finals will see two teams from Western province (Toroso/Kamusinga) while Nairobi will have one (New Jogoo Road) and the hosts will have one team representing which is Silibwet.
