Nairobi Province Schools Handball Finals set for Saturday

The Nairobi provincial secondary school handball games will head into the finals this coming Saturday at the Kasarani Sports Complex after the quarter finals and semis were played over the weekend at the Aga Khan High School.

The quarter finals saw a total of 8 games played. In the ladies matches Jogoo Road whitewashed Mwangaza 46 – 4, Kenya High beat Dagoretti 7 -1, Nile Road managed a 12 – 3 win against Moi Girls while Huruma Girls beat Ndururuno 8 – 2.

In the boys matches Makongeni beat Dandora 23 – 17 while Nairobi handball power house Aquinas beat Moi forces 32 – 15. Starehe boys Center got a 20 – 12 win over Nairobi School while Hospital Hill went down to Eastleigh 19 – 13.

In the semi finals Aquinas had a close shave when they beat Starehe with a single point, the game ending 23 – 22. Makongeni managed to see off Eastleigh 30 – 16 to charge their way into the finals.

In the girls semis Jogoo Road had an easy outing when they thrashed Kenya High 43 – 6 while Nile Road held off Huruma Girls 12 – 5.

This means that Makongeni will play Aquinas in the boys’ finals while Jogoo Road will face it out with Nile Road in the girls’ category to see which teams will represent Nairobi Province in the national games which are scheduled to take place in Eldoret.
