The 2012 Most Valuable Player in the Kenya Handball Federation League, ladies category Merina Andala is content with the U-20 national team performance in the just concluded IHF Continental Phase Trophy Challenge that was held in Djibouti.

Speaking to michezoafrika.com, Andala mentioned that the level of competition at the tournament was very high and the performance put up by the team was satisfactory,

 “We played to the best of our level and that showed in the pool matches but as we progressed higher the level of competition got stiffer and personally I am happy with what we have achieved this being our first time at the tournament,”

Kenya finished 4th overall in the tournament that was won by DR Congo in the ladies category and Nigeria in the men’s category.
