Kenya’s Omondi to instruct Handball course in South Africa

Charles Omondi the Kenya Handball Federation Secretary General will be heading to South Africa for a refereeing course from the 31st of March to the 7th of April in which he will play role of an instructor.

Omondi who is a certified International Handball Federation (IHF) Playing Rules Commission (PRC) lecturer will be in charge of training referees drawn from various federations and will approve their qualifications at the end of the programme.

Speaking to Michezoafrika.com Omondi was happy at the appointment and he said Kenya needs to train and have more of such opportunities as they will play role in helping develop the game locally ,

 “I am excited for the appointment and I wish in the future that other people from our own local federation will have such opportunities.’’

Currently, Omondi and Cherit Ndiaye of Senegal are the only African members of the International Handball Federation playing rules commission.
