The Kenya Under 20 ladies handball team is set to start training on Tuesday as they prepare for the Men's & Women's Continental Phase, IHF Trophy slated for the 7th of April in Djibouti.

The team which is drawn in pool B alongside Mozambique hosts Djibouti and Senegal qualified for the tournament by virtue of being the East and Central U-20 Champions after they won the regional tournament hosted by Kenya last year in March.

Pool A consists of Nigeria, Madagascar and DR Congo.

Charles 'Jaji' Omondi the KHF Fixtures Secretary said that the team will start training immediately with residential camp yet to be confirmed, "For now the team will start training at the Nyayo handball court. We are still looking at the logistics on how they will move into residential camp." He said.

Omondi who is a IHF refereeing instructor will travel with the team as there will be a refereeing course running concurrently with the tournament with Kenyan referees Simon Ndeto and Geoffrey Barasa expected to take part in the course.
