Kenya U-20 finishes 4th in IHF Continental Challenge

The Kenya U-20 ladies handball team finished 4th in the Men’s and Women’s IHF Continental Phase Trophy that came to a wrap on Thursday.The tournament that was hosted in Djibouti saw Kenya lose out to Nigeria 29-14 in the semi-finals that were played on Wednesday thereafter losing 30-17 to Senegal (they had beaten Senegal 22-21 earlier in the group stages) on Thursday in the placement matches.

Madagascar, Mozambique and hosts Djibouti were in position 5, 6 and 7 respectively.

The ladies finals was won by the DR Congo who held off Nigeria to a close 19-18 win while in the men’s category Nigeria overwhelmed Senegal 29-21. Chad, Mozambique, Madagascar, Uganda and hosts Djibouti followed respectively in the men’s category.
