KDF Handball League heads to Coast for 6th leg

The Kenya Defence Forces Handball League will over the weekend move to Mombasa for the 6th leg in which the 1st day (Friday) will be played at the Kenya Navy Barracks.

The league had taken a break because of the General Election and will resume with the next leg (after Mombasa) in Nairobi being the last. According to Sammy Mwangangi the league’s Assistant Secretary a majority of the teams which comprises of Defence Forces teams are already in Mombasa.

“Only two teams from the Nairobi region are yet to arrive in Mombasa of which they will travel before the weekend. The rest are already there.”

The second and third day will be played at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) and Mwangangi states that they have managed to invite two teams to participate in the leg, “the hosts of the 2nd and 3rd day (TUM) has been invited to play as well as Changamwe.”

The matches are expected to kick off at 8:00 am on the first day.
