Day one KSSSA National Handball games round up

The term 2 (A) handball games kicked off on Tuesday at Hill School, Eldoret and saw a total of 8 games played in both the girls and the boys’ category.
In the girls pool A, Kamusinga from Western  white washed their North Eastern counterparts 62 – 0 in a match that could not be described as  more than one sided.

Tigoni was beaten by the Nairobi province representatives Jogoo Road Girls 18 – 26. In pool B Sega girls from Nyanza were held by a margin of a single goal when they went down to the Rift Valley champions Maraba 15 – 16.

 The upset of the day in the girls’ category was when Shimba Hills from Coast were beaten by Matuu from Eastern 25 – 20.

The boys’ category saw some of the highest level of competition in the recent past when all the matches played in pool A ended up in a draw. The first match saw St Georges form Coast draw with Makongeni from Nairobi 17 – 17. The second match saw Kaluluni and Itiero share the spoils at 24 – 24.

In pool B Toroso beat Central representatives Mangu29 – 18 while Silibwet thrashed Garissa from North Eastern 40 – 14.

The matches resume on Wednesday.
