Coaching instructor lauds handball development standards

Dr. Nahla and Peter Mwathi

Dr. Boudhina Nahla a coaching instructor from Tunisia lauded the standards of handball development from Kenya. Dr. Nhala was in the country last week to facilitate a three day coaching course that was undertaken at Nyayo Stadium from the 3rd to the 6th of June.

Dr. Nhala stated that she was impressed by what she had seen after facilitating the course, “I was really happy with the trainees and this shows that the developmental standards at the grass root level are good. Considering that the course was a beginner’s course I must say they were well informed and I want to encourage them to improve.”

Peter Mwathi the Strathmore University and also the Kenya women’s coach assisted in running the course and he pointed out that the course was fundamental to coaches who were beginning. “The course was meant for the individuals who want to embark on coaching handball. The things Dr. Nahla taught the participants will go a long way in developing handball in the country.”

The course had around 45 participants drawn from different parts of the country.
