Cereals Men’s team expects easy ride during play offs

The National Cereals and Produce Board men’s handball team expects easy matches at the Kenya Handball League play-offs scheduled to start today at the Nyayo National Stadium due to the fact that their arch- rivals Ulinzi handball team will not be present at this years’ competition.

Ulinzi , last year’s finalists, withdrew from taking part in the play offs since most of their players and team officials are currently part of the ‘Operation Lind Nchi’ in Somalia.

According to Cereals head coach Victor Siero,   he sees no competition and they will easily win the league

“I don’t have any worries and I am confident that we will win all our matches and retain the cup’’.

However, despite Siero’s excessive confidence, Kenyatta University head coach Tobias Onyango was quick to down play the same saying that the competition was open and Cereals should not take it so lightly

‘’we as KU have prepared well and I would like to inform Cereals that they should not expect an easy match as they think.’’

Cereals are in the same pool with Kenyatta University alongside Strathmore University another institute of higher learning.

Cereals  will play Kenyatta University at 2.00pm
