Black Mamba took the 1st half 16-12 but in the second half the students managed to rally back in the second half with 17 goals against Mamba’s 14 goals but it wasn’t enough as Mamba won their first match in the pool stage.

Mamba’s Bruno Sewe was the match top goal scorer with 7 goals followed by Allen Odhaimbo who had 4 goals to his name. Michael Indasi and John Johnson had 6 goals each for TUK. Speaking after the match Mamba coach Martin Abunde blamed some of the decisions for the close call, “some of the the referees’ call in the 2nd half were a bit wanting and TUK managed to close the gap during that period either way a win is a win.”

Black Mamba will face Mt. Kenya University on Sunday from 10:45am in their second pool match.
