A total of 40 athletes out of the selected 64 named in the probable Olympics list had as of Friday reported to camp for their training session ahead of the national trials that will be held in the month of June.

Athletics Kenya (AK) has sent out a strong notification to all agents of the specific athletes that are yet to report to camp asking them to confirm their participation in the training program.

According to AK’S Isaiah Kiplagat, the athletics body is seeking to merge both their training program and that of the agents and personal athlete’s coaches for the sake of attaining maximum results in London.

“We want to marry the two trainings so that we can manage to come up with the best for our athletes ahead of the London Olympics come July. If we don’t get to hear from this athletes them will be forced to take action,” said Kiplagat.

The team will be camping in IOC High Performance Training Centre, Eldoret before relocating back to Nairobi for the trials which will be held at the Nyayo national stadium June 2012.
