Tiger Woods will be making a comeback to Muirfield after 11 years. Woods has been drawn to play alongside South Africa Louis Oosthunizen and former US Open champion Graeme Mc Dowell in the first two rounds of this week’s Muirfield, Scotland tournament.

The trio will tee-off at 14:45 local time (13:45 GMT) on Thursday and at 09:44 on Friday. Woods said he still needs his medication for his injured elbow after he aggravated the injury at the US Open and was seen wincing his arm on several occasions. He will be making his first competitive appearance since then.

The 14-time major winner was seen practicing ahead of the Open Championship on Sunday alongside Dustin Johnson and Jason Day having played nine holes.

He is confident that his left elbow will not be a problem and that he will hit all the shots needed. Woods regained the No.1 spot from Rory Mcllory after winning four times this year but unfortunately he has failed to win a 15th major title, the last coming at the end of 2008.
