Owino tops in end year Sunset golf in Kisumu

Peter Owino playing off handicap 27 became the overall winner of the Sunset Golfing society golf day {category-Sunset members} that was staged at the Kisumu’s Golf club over during the weekend

Owino hit a Bogey on hole one, par in hole two and three, and a birdie on hole four and five, he again hit a par on the sixth hole, bogeyed on the seventh, birdied on the eighth and ninth.

He again pared on hole ten, borgied on hole 11, pared on holes 12 and 13, on hole 14 he hit a scratch and birdied on hole 15, on hole 16 he bogeyed while on holes 17 and 18 he hit a par for an impressive 39 Stableford points.

Second overall was Joseph Atito who was playing handicap 19 who managed 38 Stableford points after scoring 19 Stableford points in the first nine and adding a similar number in the second.

Third was Jerry Oduor who was playing off handicap 19 who posted 18 Stableford points in the front nine and an additional 19 in the second for a total of 37 Stableford points.

In the Club Members category Rahul Bhayani emerged the winner after bringing in 39 Stableford points, he was playing off handicap 27 and posted 20 in the front nine and 21 in the second.

Second was Ramesh Karia who was playing off handicap 15 and managed 38 Stableford points after posting 17 Stableford points in the first nine and an additional 21 in the second.

Third  was H.S Sokhi who was playing off handicap 13 who also managed 38 stableford points after managing 19 stableford points in the first nine and an additional 19 in the second, He lost on countback to Karia.

And on Sunday Julius Omollo become the overall winner of the Lady Captain Prize Tournament that was staged at the same venue. Omollo who was playing off handicap 9 hit a Borgie on hole one, par on hole two and three, borgied again on the fourth hole, and pared on holes 5, 6 and 7, he borgied on the eighth hole, hit a par on hole 9 and 10, hit a scratch on hole 11, par on holes 12, 13, 14 and 15, and borgied on hole 16, 17 and 18.
