Three second half goals by Billy Jackson , Alex Ibese and substitute Marvin Mwangi  helped MOYAS qualify to the next round of the GOTV shield Cup, cruising past Ligi Ndogo with a 3 - 0 rout  on Friday afternoon at the City stadium.

Ligi Ndogo will however have themselves to blame for failing to convert the many chances that came their way especially in the first half when Mike Machek and John Njoroge easily cut through the MOYAS defense.

Njoroge had a glorious opportunity in the 22nd minute after being set up by man of the match Machek, he however failed to read the keeper’s movement as he hit direct to the advancing custodian with the entire defense line beaten.

Captain Sammy Machio also came close a minute later but was denied when his chip hit the woodwork.

With three minutes to the end of the first half, the well combined duo of Njoroge and Machek had another lovely attacking play that went begging. Njoroge, with a good dummy on the left flank delivered a good square ball in the box for Machek whose stretch had weak power on the ball that easily rolled out.

Tables turned for Ligi Ndogo in the second half as MOYAS came back more powerful. Just 15 minutes into the second half,   Billy Jackson gave MOYAS the lead with his team’s first shot on target scoring from an acute angle.

In less than seven minutes, Alex Ibese secured the second goal with a low shot that beat Njau on the far post.

Machek almost revived Ligi Ndogo’s hopes in the final ten minutes but his screamer hit under the crossbar.

MOYAS Substitute Marvin Mwangi sealed the day for the winners when he easily tapped home   from a cross to make it 3-0 at the end of the 90 minutes.
