Kenya cricket team jets into Sri Lanka

After winning their first two warm up matches against Afghanistan and Ireland in Dubai ,The Kenyan Cricket team arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday 9th February for preparations ahead of the 2011 World Cup which is set to kick of on 19th February.

According to the cricket schedule of events, The team commenced training on Thursday morning for their Warm up Games against West Indies and The Netherlands to be played on the 12th and 15th of February respectively.

The team which is captained by Jimmy Kamande will play their opening match against New Zealand on the 20th of February in Chennai.

Kenya is pooled together with the defending champions New Zealand, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Canada in the world cup that will jointly be hosted by three Asian countries:Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka.
