Moyes starts new challenge with Swansea test

New Manchester United manager David Moyes will be a man under pressure when the 2013/2014 season of the English Premier League season starts on the 17th of August. The former Everton Manager will be looking to fill the shoes left by Alex Ferguson who retired from the post after guiding the Red Devils to their 20th Premiership title.

Manchester United will begin their title defense at the Liberty Stadium in Wales with a match against Swansea. The Swans finished their campaign in the 2012/13 season at ninth position with 46 points.

Moyes’ firepower will come under intense scrutiny as his next fixtures will involve Chelsea under new manager Jose Mourinho, then face Liverpool before facing new boys Crystal Palace on 14th September.

Arsenal will be seeking to kick start the campaign for a maiden trophy since their FA Cup conquest over Manchester United in 2005 when they play against Aston Villa at the Emirates.

In other opening matches Chelsea will take on the new promoted Hull City at Stamford Bridge as last season’s runners up Manchester City face Newcastle at Etihad. Liverpool will take on Stoke City, Norwich vs. Everton, Sunderland vs. Full ham and west Ham vs. Cardiff City.
