Kenyan born turned British rider Chris Froome of the Team Sky has been tipped as the favourite to win the 2013 edition of the  tour Tour de France slated  to begin on Saturday June 29th to Sunday July 21st.

Froome was born in Kenyan and brought up in South Africa but has ridden with a British license since 2008. He continued with his preparation for  the race by winning the testing warm-up race, the Criterium du Dauphine on Sunday.

The 28-year-old was second behind Team Sky team-mate Bradley Wiggins in last year's Tour de France.

He is the favorite having ridden serenely on to record his ninth win of the season, including the Tour of Romandie and the Criterium International.

His only significant defeat came in March in the Tirreno-Adriatico at the hands of Italian ace Vincenzo Nibali, who went on to win the Giro d'Italia.
