National Olympics committee of Kenya, NOCK will allow Judo, Taekwondo and the Hockey federations to take part in the body’s Wednesday’s May 29 election to be held in Nairobi.

Incumbent president Dr. Kipchoge Keino noted that despite the federations being entangled with leadership wrangles NOC-K will allow them to participate in the elections since they are part of the sporting body.

Keino confirmed on Monday that 18 federations will take part in the elections with each of them being allowed to have up to two delegates but only one vote.

“We are very much aware of the issues going around in some of these federations but it is not our business to lock them out. We are confident that they will sort out the mess after the elections,” Keino explained.

“We gave the said federations enough time to put their houses in order. Elections were mandatory in all the federations affiliated to NOCK and they were supposed to conduct polls before we hold the national elections.” He noted.

Keino called on delegates to elect leaders who are ready and willing to support as well as promote youth programs across the country.
