European giants head to Asia for pre-season matches

Asia remains a center of focus for most European football giants as they head to the continent for their pre-season matches, most of them under new management. Manchester United begins their tour under the new era of David Moyes and will play five friendly matches in four countries:Thailand, Australia, Japan and China.

Chelsea FC under the “special one” Jose Mourinho, will begin their campaign in Thailand against a Singha All-Star XI in the Singha Cup on July 17 at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok. The second match will be against Malaysia XI at the Shah Alam Stadium on Sunday July 21st and finish the trip with Indonesia XI Jakarta on July 25th .

Second runners up in the EPL last season Manchester City will not be left behind in the Asian tour with the new coach Manuel Pellagrini on the spot. City who will travel to South Africa for 10 dayson July 9th will play Super Sport on the 14th of July and face AmaZulu on the 17th in celebration of Nelson Mandela’s day.

City will proceed to Bangkok for a mini tournament against Spurs and Sunderland in Hong Kong and Spanish giants Barcelona will visit Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital, in early August.

Arsenal are playing in Jakarta and Hanoi before also heading to Japan, where their games include a fixture against Nagoya Grampus, former club of their manager Arsene Wenger.
