CECAFA elections set for Thursday

The Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) will hold elections on Thursday  in Dar e Saalam. All member countries are expected to take part in the polls that will lead the body for the next four years.

Incumbent CECAFA Chairman, Leodegar Tenga who also doubles up as Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) boss will square it out with his Djibouti counterpart Fadoul Hussein. Fadoul is also a former CECAFA Vice Chairman.

Four executive committee positions are up for grabs with eight contestant luring the twelve member countries to vote in their favor. Abdiqani Saeed Arab (Somalia), Tariq Atta Salih (Sudan), Justus Mugisha (Uganda), Tesfaye Gebreyesus (Eritrea), Hafidh Ali Tahir (Zanzibar), Sahilu Wolde (Ethiopia), Raoul Gisanura (Rwanda) and Abubakar Nkejimana (Burundi) make the list of contestants
