All set for Cecafa kick-off, Kenya to host 2012 edition

The 2011 Cecafa edition will kick off on Friday at the 60,000-seater National Stadium in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. Burundi vs Somalia will serve as the opening match before Uganda takes on Zanzibar.

Supersport and  KBC will broadcast the matches live.To make the games even more interesting to the local audience,Supersport will provide commentaries in Swahili.

Zimbabwe has replaced Namibia who pulled out in the last minute.Kenya kicks-off her campaign on Monday next week against Malawi Flames.The Harambee Stars team is expected in Tanzania on Sunday,a day after the conclusion of the Kenyan Premier League.

Meanwhile Kenya will host the 2012 edition of the Cecafa senior challenge cup. This was passed by the Cecafa Congress in a meeting held on Thursday. Kenya last played host to the old tournament in 2009.
