Mjomba fired up for Premier League Return

Kenyan international Samba Mjomba is all excited as she makes her return to the top flight basketball this afternoon when her team Equity debuts with a tough assignment away to former Champions KPA in Mombasa.

Mjomba formerly played for Eagle Wings and decamped to Equity  at the start of the 2014 season though she had to start at the lower division, “ I knew it was going to be tough working hard to take our promotion to the top league but we kept our faith going and our hard work paid . I am excited to be back and I look forward to a great season.”

She has however said despite her team having some of the finest players in the league, they will take each match as it comes without expecting miracles, “I am excited to play against some of the finest and most experienced players but most importantly we just love what we do on the court. We will take each match as it comes, have fun on the court but push for those positive results.” She says.

The Equity team enjoys the services of experienced players in the league including last year’s Most Valuable player in the women’s league Hilda Indasi, Linda Mfuchi formerly at USIU Flames, Denise Apondi formerly of Strathmore among others.

The Match will be played at the KPA Makande Hall on Saturday afternoon.
