Kenya Basketball League to go live next weekend

Three Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Premier League matches will be aired Live next week on Friday by Africa’s pay TV station SuperSport. This will be the first ever televised Kenya basketball league matches to be aired by SuperSport in addition to their ever growing East African bouquet of Sports.

According to KBF’s fixture secretary Joseph Amuoko, three men premier league matches have been lined up for airing on the day and all the matches will be staged at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani gymnasium starting 5:30PM.

Some of the confirmed matches will include defending champions Cooperative Bank playing against KPA and Strathmore Blades playing against former champions Ulinzi Warriors.

“We are yet to conclude a comprehensive deal with SuperSport but they have agreed to air some of our men premier league matches next weekend on 10th at Kasarani as we finalize on the deal that will in the end benefit all clubs in many ways including through continental exposure. This is a good start for Kenya basketball and we look forward to sealing a good partnership with them.” Amuoko told

He said by the end of the day on Friday the fixtures department will have identified the third match though he hinted it will involve Lions basketball team.
