Ulinzi Warriors coach Eliud Nzioka has blamed the loss to Lions in their KBF Premier League match up on Sunday afternoon to the sudden change to the fixtures which did allow them to prepare adequately.

“We were not to have any match until next Saturday but we were informed on Wednesday that we will be playing Lions on Saturday. I tried to write to the KBF for them to change but I got no response and at the same time we could not let a walk over to be awarded against us so we had to play without preparing well and as you know Lions is a strong team.”

However Nzioka was happy with his team performance stating that they held off Lions well and it was Ancentas Wafula’s three (3) point shots in the 3rd quarter that killed his team, “Wafula made three, 3 point shots that reflects to 9 points in the 3rd quarter. Closing that gap became difficult otherwise the boys played well.”

Ulinzi will be seeking to shake off a shaky start to the league having lost twice already in the 2013 season.
