Kenya Cross Country team set for residential camp

The National Cross Country team that was selected on Saturday morning after the trials at the Uhuru Gardens will have two weeks to train before they depart for Cape Town South Africa for the African Cross Country Championships from March 18th.

The team will camp in Ngong’ for high altitude training  under coach Samson Katam, who is also the Administration Police team coach.Katam will be assisted by retired athlete Sammy Ruto.

The team will have an uphill task considering their perennial rivals Ethiopia will have a team this year as opposed to last year where Kenya had a field day as Ethiopia gave the championship a cold shouder .
